WRITING REPORTS : HBSE & CBSE

 

⏩⏩Report Writing :-

A report is a form of communication in which some information is given to the reader , usually in writing .

It is a " factual description" of an event/ incident/ function/ program etc.

All the necessary details are included in a report to give the reader a full information in an easy and quick way. 

⏩⏩A report can be of many kinds , e.g. 

Reporting news,

event ,

message ,

meeting ,

other activity etc.

⏩⏩A report can be in the form of--

a paragraph,

a letter, 

or an essay. 

⏩⏩It depends on :-

:- the content of the required Report or factual description ,

:- space available for its publication and,

:- the person or reader for whom it is written. 

⏬⏬ Important points to note --

-A report should be clear, short and concise.

-A report is written in Past tense.

-A report should be written in a proper format .

- It's format is something same as the format of a Notice.

- Word limit for an ideal report is 110-120.

📑Format ( Applicable mostly in reporting functions etc. )  :-

1➪Name of Programme / Function etc.

2➪The word " A Report"

3➪All necessary Details Such as:-

➣Purpose of Function, 

➣Date and Venue of the function, 

➣the persons present there, 

➣the persons who came there, 

➣all events in a serial, 

➣experience , 

➣closing.

4➪Name and position of the person who is reporting .

5➪Box or Border ( if required)

Topic -1 

You are Manav- Head boy of G.S.S.S. Bhiwani . Your school has recently organised a "Blood Donation Camp" on the occasion of ' Shahidi Diwas'.  Write a report for the same for your school magazines.

Topic -2 

You are Abhishek- Secretary of Arts Club in your school . Recently your school has  organised an "Inter-school Poster Making Contest" .  Write a report on this contest for the same for your school magazines.

Topic-3

You are Vansh/ Vanshika , the Secretary of the Eco Club of your school, Shivalik Ideal Public School , Karnal. Recently your school has celebrated " Tree Plantation Week" .  Prepare a report on the event in not more than 125 words for publication in a magazine.  

Report - Write a report on the " Cleanliness Week" organized by Eco Club of your school. You are Apoorv/ Apporva , the secretary of Eco Club.
